I have a few extra pieces of this stuff I snagged from my local pond store and it makes for some awesome media replacements for the Rena canister filters. It's been doing an excellent job and so far seems like it will last forever.

The only downside is you have to cut the stuff with a jigsaw.

Foster and Smith's has it, I looked it up the other night. There are four grades of mesh density. I'm trying to figure something out for a prefilter on the intakes of my Magnum 350s on the 225. I'm hard piping all the lines 'cuz the hoses keep kinking up. This won't work for that, but I'm thinkin' it may work great as a durable rinse and reuse mechanical filter in the Penguin and Emperor HOBs if cut to size.

You? No, but I'm sure there's some people that might be. Smile

MC: Here's the link to the media from the company.

I didn't think of using some in the hob filters, I wonder if I can get away with using the green, I still have some of that left.
