| Don't forget, at the present time there hasn't been a successful EB X EB breeding (all fry have died within 10 days free-swimming). That's why Blue Gene JDs are so expensive. They are needed to either pair together or to an EB to produce viable offspring.

| Good to know Mark...I think I knew that already...just passed my mind...I forgot about allthingsdempsey too just logged in and asked a couple questions...very good site for JD's. I should of purchased them from yankeejack.
I woke up this morning and both EBJD's were laying on their side, I thought they were dead...went to scoop them out and the took off. Kind of hiding all day and laying on the bottom...So I did another water change about 20%. The tank is bare bottom so I think they just need more security...I taped a black towel to both sides of the tank and a piece of paper to the bottom. Sense I did so they have been full of energy cruising all over the tank. They seem healthy as hell now...I think they just like the security of the glass covered on the sides and bottom. Doing great now!!!!

| You all may be sick of hearing about it but yet another update...
I noticed the older one (the one I got first) had ICH. Now mind you I am rally amused by these guys and want both to live. So I figured I better do something. With all the hype of these fish being weak and what not I didn't want to go the salt treatment, one because I was worried about them being sensitive to the slat and two I thought it may take longer to get the salt level up. I went to Petsmart and got some malachite green and a UV sterilizer. I put the meds in when I got home and hooked up the UV sterilizer, oh and bought an airstone and dug a air pump out for more circulation and O2. The sterelizer I bought is a 24w which is rated for 50-130 gallon tank, (I think I went a little overboard). Anyway just wanted to give the update....I will keep everyone posted!

| That's the same UVS that I have on the 28 Bowfront that my EBs are growing out in. I've had it since last November, and have had no problems. Sorry to hear about the Ich outbreak. What temp do you have them at?

| You might want to bump it up to about 82 to 84. That will speed up the life cycle of the parasite and allow the UVS and the medicine to get rid of it quicker. Good luck.

| Well, good news, the EBJD's are doing great the one never showed any ICH symptons the other was covered. The one who was covered has maybe one or two spots still on him. I decided to add 2 tsp of salt on top of the meds...seemed to work out great. They are both doing great now...I think the two I have are going to get big strong and healthy...The only thing is, is that they keep picking off my BN plecos...I am down to three or four. | |

| Glad to hear he's doing better. I had to separate my two last night. The bigger one seems to have paired up with the Gold Morph female, and they both decided to kick the smaller EB's butt. The smaller one is now in the 45 gal. grow out tank with the smaller Golds. He seems to like it, since he's now the biggest and gets to chase everyone else.
