| Ello, how you doing today. Ok, I am an Alabamian. I have two 30's, gonna put black sand in both later this month. I may be 13 and not be able to afford all the extra equipment, but I'm serious about my fish.
30g, changing to planted tank 1x Senegal Birchir (at 6 inches, will be given to someone, maybe my friends dad, he has a 55)
30g, changing to planted also. nothing ATM, going for a community
I am making tanks planted on Oct. 13, LFS has a sale on potted plants and swords for Oct.. Also, Oct. 13 is a sale day called 2-fer-Tuesday, by any fresh water fish buy another for 2 cents, gonna get pair of Fire M's and Cons, also community fish. Even a heater for community(I broke two heaters by accident), and plants | |

| Thx guys, I ued to just have gravel and rocks, but realized some cheap or easy plants to get, like Anubias and Val., even Java Moss(on of the 30's was in the living room and we bought a clump of Java Moss, the whole tank was filled with Java moss in 4 months). My dad used to be a cichlid freak, he could only get a 55, but stocked it well, A tiger and albino oscar, JD, bream(he just got it from a friend, he wanted to see what would happen), RD, GT, and I think a Texas. then Katrina killed em all but the Albino O. then got a african tank(he didn't like their behavior towards eachother, he didn't know they should be crowded so no single fish gets picked on) and the 55 became home for suicidal Jaguars, on almost killed itself by trying to eat a Pleco. | |

| Wow, it sounds like you guys could really learn some good stocking techniques from us. Sorry to hear you both lost all those fish that sucks, I know how it feels too loose a bunch of fish. I am assuming they were small still sense they were all in the 55g though. | |

| yeah, biggest was the Bluegill, maybe 4-5 inches. Al. O lived for 3-4 years then, was passed from Aunt Jamie, she gave it to Aunt Melanie cause gave her 9 year old oscar stress, leading to her O getting HITH. Al O died cause Aunt Mel didn't upkeep the 55 (she had a Pictus, 3 ACFs) so he died. | |
