| Well, went out fron to day to check on the algae growth since the Plecos were removed and I say a white fish soeckled with with orange and black, almost dead. I pulled it out and it died. I noticed weeks before the koi was getting very sluggish and sometimes could control itself and also had pop-eye. I lnew it was going to die soon. It was called Dancie cause of it so called "dancing" in the bag, my brother named it. We both went to Petsmart and got a koi each and I had a eautiful gold that was sick when we got it years ago and it died a few days after but, Dancie kept on dancing till today. Brother didn't care, thank god. We now have a pond with skittish goldfish, no more koi. | |

| So, what happened? Were you trying to save him, treating him? What is the point of your post? Not to be rude and don't take it the wrong way but when I first read your post it sounded like you are glad the fish is gone? Sorry to hear about your loss though it is a shame. | |

| I never really tried to treat him, I didn't really have place sufficent and I have no mney for meds. I am not really happy about it, I actually got sad while writing this. I'm just saying what happened. I really have no point, I just posted it. I wanted to share it. We have ahd that koi for about 4 years. We havn't had any luck with the pond cause I actually think the neiborhood cats are some of the main causes for all of our large goldfish and koi to die within a year period. I am gonna try and persuade my papa to do a full cleaning of the rocks (substrate) cause of all the built up poo and debri. The filter is way past it's prime, and we have no money to replace it. The only reason we have had the pond going good till now is because my Papa's old boss would give my Papa extra things that came in. The pond, was free cause it had a chip on the siding and was thrown out. The filter, extra so, it was given to him. Slate for the waterfall, free cause it was to small for whatever project. He was layed off and has no more free equipment. I his job now, he's doing the same work but, the company is cheap and won't hand out anything. | |

| Well dude you should do what is right then if you cant properly care for the pond and fish anymore. Find them a foster home or a permanent home....I really have a problem when I hear about stuff like this....now being as positive a possible you should give the fish away to someone who has the time, money, and space to give these fish a proper life.....hope you do decide to do whats right and put the life of those fish first. | |

| Sorry for your loss. Maybe you should try to find them a new home. At least you should be keeping up with water changes as required. | |
