Got the $125 gift card that comes with tank and my favorite teacher fromlast year is sending me a gift card also. Already found a few good species. Electric Blue Johanni, Electric Yellow Lab, Rusty, and Powder Blue Cichlid. Need a few more. Gonna have Peacocks also. Gonna have half for Mbuna and half for Peacocks | |

| If I do but, any orders will be in bulk so I don't pay $30-$40 for a single fish in just shipping. WhaT species do you have? Will you have more by Christmas? | |

| So you are choosing to go the African route hu! We can help you out but don't dip into that tank without some advice. African Cichlids are aggressive and can be kept rather easily but the wrong mixes can be deadly. | |

| I know. I've seen close ups on their mouths and realize that. Need to crowd for them to be proud. I've reseached a few. How would Malawi Eyebiters do? Are they Malawi? | |

| Compressiceps would do fine. They are from malawi. You don't need to crowd them. Crowding them could make things worse and alot more water changes would need to be done. Like MC said It all depends on what you put together. I have Tangs,Malawi, and vics together with only 8 fish in a 75. Your setup will determine what you can put. I mean tank size, what decor you have, Hiding places ,Free range swimming area. ,Plants. The list goes on. Make sure you ask alot of questions before you go african. Hate to see you lose alot of money.Tangs are some really cool fish(My favorite). | |

| Ok, what plants could I use. I know Valis for the Eyebiter. Gonna go full out with rocks. Gonna have the ful front for swimming and it will go as far backs as 10 inches, and will come as far front as 6 inches. I mean like the rocks will be that far. PH will be a good 8.0. Gonna use coral sand. You know tanks size. Decor will be mainly rocks and some plants. Hidding places are rock Crevices and caves. How many Peacocks would you reccomend along with how many Malawis. Gonna have 1 male Eyebiter with 5 females I know for sure. | |

| been researching and how would Cyrtocara moori do? Also, Altolamprologus compressiceps and Sciaenochromis fryeri. Also, I could just try a Tang Cichlid I actually like alot...Neolamprologus pulcher. Copuld have a good breeding colony of these in the 100. | |

| Slow down there slick... Every new post has a new fish you think you want!
A 125 is a big tank. You have lots of options to work with. Male peacock/hap tanks can be tricky depending on personalities. Also minimal rock work is needed for this type of setup.
An Mbuna community can also get tricky. With a 125 you could easily go with 5 to 8 species and 5 or 6 of each. Lots of rock work is required here to create as many hiding spots as possible.
There is also a myriad of Tanganyikan and Victorian options. Personally I like to keep my tanks specific to each lake. Not a fan of mixing the lakes. Do many dietary and personality differences. Not to say that it can't work, but it will really mess with your stocklist.

| You can mix the lakes easy enough. Just make sure of the aggression factor. Let me know what you want from each lake and i can tell you if the will go together or not. Its not as hard as some are leading you to think. PM me any time you have questions and i will help you out. I also have many species of vics and tangs also. Stick with a specific lake to start then you can mix once you get the hang of it. | |

| Well, I may just start out with a Neolamprologus pulcher breeding tank, then get rid of some and then add more Tangs. Then, over time, go Malawi. Then I might make a huge shelly tank. But, may, may not stick to plan. Gonna do N.pulcher to start with. | |
