Well some of you may have read about my "tank boss" aka Metriaclima lombardoi (kenyi) This guy is the meanest Mbuna I have ever kept. Yesterday I was doing my weekly W/C and what not. Well this guy don't like hands, nets, mag cleaners etc. Normally he will tolorate my hands in the tank if they are on the other half of the tank, the tank is 75g and yes he pretty much owns half. This is off the topic but when they were in the 120g he owned half of that tank too.

Back to the subject now. I was fixing the plants after I filled the water back up not paying attention and he nudged me a couple times no big deal. Then I moved to the other side and was fixing some rocks and plants near his cave. Well he came up and got me good actually drew blood on my arm. I felt like if I could, smacking the crap out of the little you know what. Anyway it wasnt much but it pissed me off a little bit. I just thought I would share my story with everyone....Here he is, oh btw he is a wife beater and very prolific!

Looks a lot like my orange zebra, who is also getting a bit aggressive.Their faces are almost identical.

Ouch! I found out the hard way that feeding my severum fry by hand while the parents were still in the tank was not the best idea. Mom didn't draw blood but I got the hint...ouch!

You wouldn't think they'd be able to draw blood like that. I've gotten nailed by oscars a few times, and I'm right there with you in giving them the old backhand. Wink

LOL! that is wat i am probably most scared about when putting my hands in the tank! I noticed that my fish are attracted to my hair on my arms as if its food, so i guess they arent really doing it to be mean...also wen i put my arms in, the filters and air pump creates little bubbles on my arm which they are also attracted to..trust me they almost caught me!

Im still waiting for mine to bite me, I was catching some little guys outta the tank(not so easy when you have a maze of rock work) so i had the net in one hand and I was using my other hand to corner them and poke them out of hiding spots, thinking the whole time please dont bite me please dont bite me
