I for one always enjoy seeing pics of well-kept fish.

Those are some of the nicest fancy goldfish I've seen pics of in a long time, Rick. Never have been into goldies myself, and not real up on the terminology of the different shapes and varieties.

So I'll ask ya a question or two. What are the ones that have the big bellies and hunched backs, ya have one video with the two orange ones and the other video with several white and orange ones (the first video above)? Heck, they may even by different varieties for all I know, LOL. I know they have been line-bred that way, but do they end up with a lot of intestinal and/or swim bladder complications? It sure looks like everything is kind of crammed in there and may be a little awkwardly placed. What have ya been feedin' 'em? Like I said, very nice looking fish.

The livestock with the hunched backs are Ryukins, by goldfish standards a relative new breed maybe only a 50 to 100 years old that is Chinese in origin. These fish are predisposed to swim bladder "Tip Over" (swimming head down). The Trick with raising good fancy Goldfish is in the culling process. At the first sign that a fish my have a SB problem he goes to the S2BU tank. I only raise 100 to 200 fish a year that will grade AA(show quality) The Cull rate is about 90 to 95% that doesn't mean these fish are destroyed the A and B grade fish are raised to 1" size and sold to LFS, all C grade are use as feeders.About 50% will be feeder fish by 14 days old. These are use to conditions my breeders. The other big thing is Water Quality. I can not begin to explain the important of good water this translates into about 15% per day in the water change department.Levels for the big 3 are always in the 0,0,0 range with the pH @7.8
AS far as what I feed:
1) Bulk pellet
2) A home made gel food that is veggy based
3) Livefood

And that about it as far as raise them but you have to start with the very best stock you can get your hands on

It's a on going project that started almost 20 years ago.
Little did I know that I would never finish it
I would really like to redo the fishroom in the next couple of years.
It's very user friendly but not very pretty and with Dear Wife thing need to be pretty

Cooltow1 is stealing images from people like me and posting them on the net as their own.

The animated video below his name showing the amazing Oishi Top view Ranchu males that were imported by NeoRanchu in 2006 was stolen from me.

You can see it in it's original from here:
http://goldfishgarage.blogspot.com/search?q=tequila

These fish were given to me in a cooking with tequila class because I was wearing a ranchu breeders social tee shirt. The guy asked me if I wanted a couple TVR, my jaw dropped, I asked Oishi from NeoRanchu and he said yes. He lived 3 blocks away. Since I was given these two males two other kind soles gave me 5 more of these imported fish. This was the last breeder direct named line of Ranchu imported from Japan.

None of the pictures this internet their posts are their own. Just look at their youtube account. 3 lousy posts of crap goldfish. Not likely to have all these nice fish and high tech fishrooms and only have 3 lousy videos.

Visit their picasa photos they claim as their own and their are fish from all over the world and fishrooms from all over the world. The greenhouses are from asia and most likely Japan. Not built by the same person.

Sorry to rant on my first post but if you'd like to see the real deal please check out my blog at goldfishgarage dot com.

Can you PM me with proof of this and maybe refrence some threads, sources? I would like to have some source information to base this allegation on. Thanks! The fish room in this thread is really the only thing they claim to be theirs the actual fish photos have no clain to be theirs.

The way it read to me was that this was all his stuff, I can see based on the way Cooltow1 phrased it that it could mean that they were other people's fishies though...

If it is true, I guess it explains why I never heard anything as far as a source of feeders go though..

Here is a DIY filter that I built and it's original post:
http://goldfishgarage.blogspot.com/2009/10/diy-wet-dry-filter-sump-in-29-gallon.html

Here they are claiming it as their own:
http://board.fishchannel.com/Topic174068-22-1.aspx#bm174073

There are many other cases in fora cross the net.

Their silence is proof enough for me.

PS and the video he has at the bottom of his posts here is my video that he ripped off from my site. Those are not his fish.

Can you please explain the date discrepancy in your posting and his?

The link that you claim Cooltow1 stole your pictures from is dated 3/25/2009 and the blog posting your claiming is the source of the photos was posted on 10/12/2009

How did Cooltow1 post your pictures before they were available on your blog?

Good eye.

They were originally in a post with a link to a picasa folder dated Apr 20, 2008:
https://picasaweb.google.com/DavidLains/JoeSGoldfishTank#

Look for the MORE PICTURES HERE link to my picasa folder at the bottom of this post:
http://goldfishgarage.blogspot.com/2009/10/diy-wet-dry-filter-sump-in-29-gallon.html

But for convenience sake to a forum I was helping I put them in a new post.

And here's the trout tank I put up for the same guy.
https://picasaweb.google.com/DavidLains/FishProjects#

Ask cooltow to post other pictures... or about details like why are the corners of the baffle mitered off. Can really see it in the picture but I can tell you any and every detail because I built the thing.

Or here are the other pictures of the Oishi male top view ranchu that he ripped the video off of and uses as his avatar:
https://picasaweb.google.com/DavidLains/OishiRanchuMales#

Believe who you want, doesn't really matter to me, just thought you guys should know you were being lied to.

Now how many feeders and what size do you need a month? I can actually deliver.

It's their own little version of second life or what not. Virtual reality. I just live in the real world. It's much easier to take credit for someone elses work. I'm sure he's just a lonely old dude trying to get attention.

Search his user name around the web and search mine Ichthius (not the one on fish forums .com but I'm the original!). I'm sure my content is clearly authentic...

Look at my youtube account:
https://www.youtube.com/user/Ichthius

Look at his:
https://www.youtube.com/user/cooltow1

Who would you trust the content to belong too.

Nuff said. Peace out.

It's not that we (as in the royal we) don't believe you, it's just as MC said, we'd want some solid proof as to the source before we start accusing anyone of anything.

I had done some digging on my own, after my post, and you'd do better to link to the original photo albums instead of your blog. Wink

For example

Ichthius's photo album:
http://picasaweb.google.com/DavidLains/JoeSGoldfishTank#5191582608041877538

Cooltow1's photo album:
https://picasaweb.google.com/cooltow/Fishroom#5430425632528569922

Cooltow1's photos were posted in his album on March 26th, the same day as the fishchannel posts, however, his pictures are missing all the EXIF data, as in the photo information that the camera writes to the file when the picture is taken.

Compared in Photoshop, Ichthius's photo is 640x480 and Cooltow1's photo, is 639x479. A small cropping like that can be enough to drop the EXIF data from the pic, depending on the program used. I know Photoshop won't but there's a lot (a lot lot) of photo editing programs out there, and that's just assuming Windows as the only OS.

Magic 8ball says: Outlook not so good.
