What does HRP stand for mate? They look like Convicts, am i correct?

HRP = Honduran Red Point. They are very closely related to Convicts (some feel they are nothing more than a geographic race). They do tend to have a more blue coloration than Cons, and many feel they have less volatile personalities than Convicts.

Close cousins of the Convict. I think they are just as nasty if not more nasty than convicts in my experience.

You think Cons are nasty? Really? I've currently have cons in with mollys, and they've been happy and fine. I've (knock on wood) yet to have the cons do anything to anyone around the same size as them or larger. They'll eat feeder guppies, but what fish doesn't eat feeder guppies. Wink

Mine are all pink, so maybe the pink are more mellow than the normal?

I have a pair of convicts in a 10 gallon strictly for breeding out feeders, and the female can definitely be nasty towards the male. Not to the point of tore up fins, but she is definitely the boss. But now I'm questioning their true I.D. They too have blue on their underside.

Well bred convicts will have blue as well as green on the underside and fins!

This is the first time I didn't take the babies out within the 3rd week, and my male started aggressively steeling the babies for his own and pummeled the female.So I took him out and added him to the bigger tank. He got chased around pretty much by every body, but seems to be doing better today, plus I kinda rearranged the tank a little.
Think I will keep them separated, changed my mind about the feeder thing w/them. I'll just keep the guppies,platies, and mollies for that! Twisted Evil

Do you think I could put rams w/ her?
