| Can you put shell dwellers(lampologus) in with pseudotropheus acei and peaceful tanganyika cichlids? I have read that they can be put with certain African fish but who knows if that's true or not. | |

| It can and has been done! You are going to take a chance of them becoming tasty treats for the malawi's! You should keep them in a peaceful tanganyikan tank or as a stand alone species tank with lots of turbo shells. | |

| IMO you should keep Africans in with fish from their own lake. | |

| I have two Neolamprologus multifasiatus (hope I spelled that right from memory) in an 8 gallon biocube. I've had them for 2 months, they look the same, so can't tell which sex. I really don't want to breed them, but I'd like at least a couple more. If I do that am I almost certainly going to breeding?
Could I add a pair of the neolamprologus brevis or occelatus? These are supposed to be not over 2 in. Would they get along? I was thinking that by adding a different pair, maybe I'd get lucky and have 2 of same sex.
I appreciate all responses.

+1 I've never had good luck with Tangs and Malawis mixed together. This was actually what started my preference for biotope tanks...LOL. WYite
