| I feel your pain man. Things always hit harder when they happen close to home. I agree that it is a major problem that needs to be fixed but exactly how to fix it is something I'm not qualified to speak about. I just don't know enough about the situation. I can tell you that if Washington D.C. was on the border with Mexico this problem would have been fixed long ago. | |

| you have every right as an american citizen to protect our land from foreign invaders. Its constitutional right. I grew up in San ysidro. dont know it look it up, last socal town before TJ. My dog was busted up bad from these jumpers throwing bricks and rocks at him, stole our cars numerous times even with alarms. iron bars on our house. Its terrible to live in the "just deal with it" state of mind. http://www.congress.org/soapbox/alert/15612501"-Our Government under article IV, Section 4, of the United States Constitution, "The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican form of Government, and shall protect each of them from Invasion. [n 4- entrance as if to take possession or overrun] Ok, so, it's The Duty of the Federal Government to Protect the Borders of Each State From Invasion. We can agree, (I also provided the definition of invasion for those who may not understand the word). So, our Politicians, as well as any official who is sworn into office actually, are Sworn to Protect And Defend the Constitution and are Sworn to Uphold the Law. This is not a choice, they are duty bound to the CONSTITUTION." 10th amendment. Pretty much DC is ignoring the 10th and 14th and winging it on their own and not by the law of the land that they swore to uphold. In this case we as americans have the right to remove everyone in Dc from their elected posisitions and inact a whole new election to replace them with people WE see fit, not who talks the most crap and has money to spend. | |

Then one of the guys tryed to tell B P that I hit him with the butt of the gun I didnt and the BP knew my and didnt belive them. You are right about Washington D C NOT CAREING Obama has been here one time he went to the Grand Canyon. I want him to come down to the border where the real fun is. I hope that everyone voted today lets send Obama a loud message that we are mad as hell and are not going to take his crap anymore. | We voted, and Obama is a local to me. However he is 1 guy and a face behind the title, he is like bush fed intel with a silver spoon.
I would have shot them, foreign invaders, its also in the constitution. Its a citizens right to defend their rights. Its a matter of national security if you want to get down to the nitty gritty of things.
I commend you on holding them till BP showed up, I know they are in pursuit of a better life but doing it legally is alot cheaper and comes with alot less risk then the methods they are using now. I mean seriously who would do that, the thousands they pay the traffickers could be a bus ticket and a month or two rent along with the fee's.
Oh FYI TO ALL, the troops are requesting "fruit snacks" really bad this year, If you got a military base or office near you please spend the 5 bucks, get a few boxes(target had 24 packs for 2.99) drop em off and give them a little smile this year.

| to be honest, since mcdonald vs chicago things have quieted down here. One week there were 3 fatal home invasions, home owners never even saw a pair of cuffs.
I have family in Flagstaff.
I was us army, my father was career USnavy, grandfather was korean vet army, great grandfather ww2 marine. I know where these folks are coming from and that they cant go on without their fellow americans support, morale drops people die.

NOR DID HE START A WAR THAT COST A BILLION $ + A MONTH. IM SURE THAT WAS ON BOTH BUSH PRESIDENTS. MEXICO AND SA/CA HAVE BEEN ON US PAYROLL SINCE REAGAN AND OLLIE NORTH AND WE STILL SUPPORT OUR INTERESTS THERE TO THIS DAY. I UNDERSTAND YOUR BORDER PROBLEMS CUZ THATS SO WRONG. HOWEVER YOUR RANTING ON THE PRESIDENT IS SO FOX TV.

| OK I will give you the fact that Oboma is trying but so far all he has done is throw money at it and thats not the way to fix anything. He all his freinds can no longer shove things down the peolpes throats like he did with the health care bill. I also would like to say that this is what makes this country such a great place to live because we have the freedom to voice opinions and disagree with each other and the goverment if we want to. The border is something that myself and my family are very close to because we live less than 40 miles form the border.I am sick of the border crossers comeing thru my land with no reguard to who owns the land they crarry thier drugs that get sold to our chidren and I am sorry that will be the down fall of a lot of people I am a ex shrieff deperty I arrested every drudg dealer that I am could I also had a neice that died from a drug overdose so I hate anything to do with that poison. I love this coutry that I live in and yes we have lots of things that have to be fixed I also hope the now that Obama and all the peolpe that we just put in office can find a way to work together in fix things so we can take our rightful place as the best and moast powerful country in the world.I WILL GET OFF MY SOAP BOX NOW ATLEAST FOR A WHILE LOL. GOD blees our troops and the U S A | |

| SORRY FOR YOUR LOSSES BUT IF I RECALL IT WAS REAGAN AND BUSH'S DADDY WHO WERE WORKING HAND IN HAND WITH NORIEGA SELLING WEAPONS FOR COCAINE AND BRINGING COCAINE TO OUR INNER CITYS....THEY DIDNT COUNT ON IT SPREADING TO THE SUBURBS AND BECOMING MAINSTREAM. THEY SHOVED IT DOWN OUR THROATS AND NOBODY REMEMBERS HOW IT TRULY GOT HERE. I REMEMBER VERY CLEARLY AS I SAW IT EVERY DAY EITHER ON THE NEWS OR JUST WALKING THE STREETS. PROTECT YOU AND YOURS BROTHER THATS YOUR RIGHT. DEFEND YOURSELF AND YOUR PROPERTY. I SEE BOTH SIDES CLEARLY AND BY NO MEANS SYMPATHIZE WITH ILLEGALS. HOWEVER I DO KNOW MY HISTORY AND THIS COUNTRY WAS BUILT OFF THE MURDERING AND RAPING AND STEALING OF EUROPEANS WITH NO REGARD FOR OTHERS. NOW THAT THEY ARE THREATENED THEY SCREAM IMMIGRATION. TO ME ITS THE ROOSTER COMING HOME TO ROOST. WE REMEMBER THE ALAMO BUT DO WE REMEMBER WHAT REALLY TOOK PLACE TO GET TO THE ALAMO? WE STOLE TEXAS LOL . WE STOLE HAWAII, WE STOLE AMERICA....THE U.S GOVERNMENT KNOWINGLY GAVE BLANKETS TO INDIANS INFECTED WITH SMALLPOX AND OTHER DISEASES. WE RAPED THEIR WOMEN AND STOLE THEIR LAND SO WE COULD PROSPECT AND SETTLE THE WEST. NOW I ASK THIS WERE THESE SETTLERS LOOKING FOR A BETTER LIFE? WERE THEY RIGHT IN THEIR METHODS? THERE IS NO WIN HERE. GOD GAVE US THIS EARTH TO LIVE TOGETHER TOO BAD WE CANT. THATS JUST TOO MUCH LIKE RIGHT. | |

| The only way i see this country coming together again is if the BS is set aside and we all work for the same common goals and interests. Political parties have lines and those must be broken. I mean hell we can work to tear down the berlin wall and bring peace to tyrant nations yet we cant bring peace to our own country? we cant help our own people first?
the president is inheriting these fubar's not making them. I am not a obama party supporter but he is one guy with two little children watching his every move, He became president to make a better future for the kids of this nation and all the adult can do is argue over crap.

| GO CANADA!!!!!!! Oh shit wrong border.
I don't think you can blame any one president and there administrations for the border problem down there, it's been an issue for decades. I think it has more to do with the Mexican government not doing more for there own people forcing them to go where they can have a better live. As for the drug trade, just make the shit legal.

| I agree with our freind from Canada all every thing you said but makeing drugs LegalI will never agree to that I am sorry maybe I am to close to the subject drugs are poison and the people that sell that shit I would like to take them out and shoot in the back of the head but if I did that then I would be no better than they are.The Mexican goverment hell half of them are working for or with the drug dealers and yes I will admit that they have been makeing it tough on the cartels but what I want to know is is that all a big show for the world or are they going to try to clean up the country only time will tell. I said I was going to get off my soapbox and I have tryed to I want to thank you all have getting involed in this decussion. I have enjoyed this I hope that I hope that no one is upset with me by my rants. I am porud to live in America and I am thankful that we can talk freely about anything we want to and thank you freshwatermadenss for letting us talk about anything we want to.This is a great site thanks Dwarf cichlids in Tucson | |

| I agree with not legalizing drugs as well, however some need to be reclassifed. Id love to see alcohol held to the same standards as more illicit drugs.
We havnt had a good president since the 1940's. Once private companies were allowed to buy into the government it all went to hell in a hand basket.
Ive seen this border war first hand, We used to chuck rocks from the fenced and barb wired playground of my elementary school at the border jumpers running past from the BP. We didnt care, we thought it was fine to do, Now I wish we could have done more especially since the rancher defending his land from tresspassers was shot dead when he confronted the border jumping drug runners. Something needs to be done, we as americans have a right to defend our rights and way of life, let alone the soil we call home against foreign invaders, we also have the right to the 2nd amendment where we can form a militia to further protect our borders from these foreign invaders.
It starts with voting, we MUST vote out the sitters and get new younger people holding elected seats. Its time to show both major political parties that we dont want their governing anymore, we dont want them meddling in our lives. This is not the government outlined in our nations most sacred documents. We do not live by the principals our founding fathers set forth for us. Alot of people died gaining our freedom and way of life, how dare any of us challenge or change that.
