Went out this morning to a little water hole i saw that had been left over since the creeks are drying up here lately.

Took some old freezer burnt market shrimp, Yuck !! and caught a couple of fingerling Large Mouth Bass about 3 inches each, and a dozen Green Sunfish. Kept the LMB babies, and the smallest Green, about 3 inches or so, and really nicely colored up. Yup..... you guessed it....Plopped them right into one of my tanks..
    cheers

Sounds like fun...hopefully you have a big tank. That sunny will eventually become lunch for the LMB. Keep in mind that it is not a good idea to release native fish that have been kept in captivity.

Thanks for that advice Smile And youre right ...big fish do indeed eat little fish, and even though im not necessarily promoting using sunfish as feeders, as you say it is a better alternative than euthanasia, or returning them to the wild, and quite the natural order of things.
