You are forgiven sir, no MAN can go against the words of the fish gods. Great buckets and pike.

what vessel is that? a tube or a yak?

It is a 10' inflatable kayak. It fits in my trunk and can go just about anywhere. It has a thick nylon shell that protects the inner tube. My fishing has improved dramatically with that little boat Smile

who makes it? I used to see those when i worked at cabelas, I threw them out and scrapped the frames when they were returned.

ive been looking at a angling kayak for my flathead hunts. I think being dragged around the river would be alot more fun then night wading for them big'uns.

(you want a sheer adrenaline rush, go flathead fishing at 1am with no moonlight, in waders. bring a change of undies)

Nice looking fish!

The kayak is a Fastback made by Sevylor for Coleman.

This is a link to the one I have http://www.sevylor.com/Fastbacktrade-1-person-Kayak-P2040C41.aspx

I like the carp, tho I'd be inclined to keep in in a pond. Smile

not at 17 pounds you wouldnt want to keep it, it took ALOT to get that pig in, thing went around an island and took nearly 45 minutes to get it back on the side when i set the hook

Thanks! ...and yes it was a good day. Here's another pic from the weekend.
DirtyDawg 20100926bantamlake23croz

This was the 27" pike I caught. It weighed just over 4lbs and isn't a monster but still a fun fish to catch.

I'm the idiot with 6 pacu, two of them getting on 25lbs. A 17lb carp might be easier to handle, or at least less prone to act like a drunken frat boy. Smile
