What is the best or most reliable accurate heater on the market in your opinion? This is for a 180 gallon tank.

I use the Marineland visi-therm & visi-therm stealth heaters as well as the eheim jager. I have had a problem with one of my stealth heaters but other than that never had a problem with any of the others. I would say the jager is probably the best one I have.

I would second a Marineland Visi-therm Stealth for many reasons, very accurate, hard plastic so no breaking, easy to use temp dial, black in color (easy to hide)..... Any more cons and I could be the spokesperson....JK but they are my first choice.

I've replaced a lot of my glass ones with either Stealths or Finnex heaters. Finnex are cheap titanium heaters from Ken's Fish that so far have worked great.

ViaAqua Titanium heaters (or at least the single one here I have) also seems to work fine, and for pure geeky goodness, the Fluval lighty up built in thermometer model also works great (again I only have one of them tho) It has lights and a digital display of the temp and is neat, but I wouldn't pay what they're asking for them. I mainly use visi-therm stealth but have a few of the other mentioned above. I try to stay away from the glass ones have had just too many of them crack on me then I care to count.

Have had only 2 stealth problems in over a long course of time
