i added pressurized c02 to my tank this year. since i have done so, i stopped adding ferts to the water table. i do still use flourish tabs, but thats it. i keep pretty high light also. am i alone in the way i do that, or is it pretty common

I don't get it as far as all the stuff for plants go. Indoors I keep plants in tubs with feeder goldfish and another tank with axolotls and they grow fantastically. Outside of old UVB lights from the reptiles I don't use any fertilizer or any co2 and they grow like weeds.

Are you trying to grow something special/fancy? To be fair, so long as the plants are green and don't get clogged in the filter, I'm not too picky as to what they are which may be why I have good luck with them. Smile

im not growing anything specific or fancy, just whatever i can find and ones that i find attractive. i really thought that by now i would have seen sore spawning than i have. but lately i have noticed that i have to trim down the tank every few months otherwise it gets so thick my fish have no space left to swim. so i guess im doing something right
