Tank & mates Empty
PostSubject: Tank & mates    Tank & mates EmptySun Nov 20, 2011 7:39 am

45 gal room divider tank between the kitchen and family room. After 20 something years of a 55 gal it had to go. The molding was starting to break down and I did not want to chance a blowout. I decided to go with minimal decor and somewhat of a community setup. One overhead light casting shadows for affect. I might change that for 2 directional spotlights, maybe this winter....
A work in progress it has been running for a year or so. Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the poor tank shot, its a killer to photo. I placed a black felt cloth on the kitchen side to curb any reflection.

Love the gold nugget pleco! Nice shots.

If we ever get enough participation to start photo contests again, you'll give somebody, I won't mention any name, a run for his money...

I'm not big on most plecos, but that gold nugget is adorable. Smile

Thanks Wyite, sometimes those fish contests can be more trouble then they are worth. When it is all in good fun they are fine but I have entered a few that got Ugly quickly. People banned and many feelings hurt even copy right infringement. Yep people steeling pics or the fine print in the contest itself allows the hosting sight ALL rights to the photo.
I once entered a travel contest on a local news program. My pic didn't even place in the top three but the news program ( WPIX11 NYC) took it upon there self to use my photo as the backdrop for almost a year. No compensation at all, not a dime! After talking to someone they said " I had no recourse cuz of the fine print". He also said the pic should have been worth several grand to them.

Tank & mates Pictur10

The four panel of the GWB is mine. I got a credit and apology from the weather girl but that was it. Channel 11 is owned by Tribune and they pretty much laughed at my request
