Yeah I got a common birchir and I'm now looking at getting a drawf snakehead, I wouldn't swap the birchir for anything, and can't wait to get the snakehead

The birchir's are pretty cool. Just be careful if you're planning on keeping it and the snakehead in the same tank.

If the dwarf one your picking up is Channa gachua they get 10 inches to a foot and are, from what I've read about them, right bastards.

Its a Channa Pulchra and I'm doing research on them before I get one, according to some research they get to 8 inches long and the birchir is about that long now.

With the birchir has any one every heard for them eating stones, he has no problems swimming or resting and goes toilet ok, I feed him a mix of food bloodworm, catfish pellets which is his favourite and he wil even eat flake food that I put in for some of the other fish

Hes a pic of Channa Pulchra

:bump1: Just want to get this topic alive again. So I was stupid for releasing a single Texas Cichlid in a creek that leads no where except to a ditch that a fish couldn't survive a journey that long? (excluding air breathers)
