They are swimming around....all I have left is the Green Terror and the Convict. The convict got a bad case of fin rot and has lost most of his tail...The GT has lost his fins behind his gill plates (not sure the name of those fins) The Convict has some scale damage and the GT still has very cloudy eyes. The good news is they are eating, very slow and skittishly but eating and they are moving around the tank. i am pretty sure they are going to make it. I just have to finish treatment and then begin rehabilitation.

Maybe a little off topic here, but Daveedka from AB wrote an excellent article on the treatment of ich that was available on wikipedia. Unfortunately, I searched, and can't find it anymore, as the link doesn't work. Does anyone know where I might locate this article?

I don't have ich now, and haven't had it for some time, but I'd like to keep a copy just in case.

Paul, are you referring to pectoral fins? Glad to hear your fish that did survive are swimming and getting back to normal.

Well after some research, and I should of known this already.....I think what I was dealing with is Velvet and not ICH. The symptons were there the whole time fin rot, clowdy eyes and skin falling off. I don't think it would of mattered too much though because it was in a very advanced stage before I began treatment....I guess no matter how experienced you are there is always something to learn.

Velvet is very common from what I read and is pretty brutal on the fish from what I see here. I'm glad I haven't had to deal with that yet...hopefully I never do either.

Getting better....I am going to do a 100% water change tomorrow...Actually I am going to take down the tank....Soak the decor in a bleech/water solution....Empty the substrate out and put sand in...Then I am goi9ng to set it back up and continue treatment for 5-7 more days. The fish are doing very well considering.
