I don't know what these fish are, but my question is I woke up a couple of days ago and noticed one of them turned much darker.What does this mean?

there called Melanochromis auratus, and the darkening one is a male, be careful these are one of the most aggro mbuna out there

Yep the dark one is becoming a male or posing as a male....and yes they are Auratus!

Nice looking auratus. Looks like your tank has plenty of hiding places from the other pics you've posted, but males can be very abusive to females if they don't get their way, if ya know what I mean. I made it a practice never to have less than three females in any tank with a male.
