| My 55 gal freshwater communtiy tank. I think the fist pic is a loach but i would not be surprised if i am wrong. You can see the other fish the whole tank shot except for the ghostknife. I will post a pic of him if he ever comes out of hiding while i have the camera out. " border="0" alt=""/> " border="0" alt=""/>

| Nice set up, cyndrine. You're correct, the first fish is a loach, a weather loach of the genus Misgurnus. I'd guess Misgurnus anguillicaudatus, but loaches ain't my cup o' tea, generally speaking. This is one of the more commonly seen weather loaches in the hobby.
Again, nice tank. The dragon adds a unique touch.

| What's the hiding orange fish?
Also very cool on the dragon. The kids picked out that same dragon for the original Oscar tank here. There's a matching fish decoration to go with it, but they've all been busted every time we've seen 'em at the store.

| the orange hiding fish is my parrot cichlid. I'll get a pic of her when she is out. She actually comes out and herds the pleco to the spots with the most algae. Makes sure he doesn't miss any. It is funny. My 2 rope fish have been using the dragon ornament as a hiding spot. They use the hole in the mouth for the airstone as an entrance and an exit.
The ID shark actually has one eye. Got him and one other home from the pet store before i noticed. he had one and the other was completely blind. Wasn't sure if they would make it. Was tempted to take them back but thought the store would flush or feed them to something else and didn't want that so here they stayed. He prospered but the other didn't make it. The other did outgrow everything else quickly but i came home from work one day and he was dead. That sucked but this one held on and is prospering.

| I need your parrot fish to come teach the ones here to do that with the pleco. There's spots they never clean. | |

| " border="0" alt=""/> a better pic when she isn't hiding. I have no idea why she started herding the pleco but i am definately not arguing with the pleco listening and not fighting back. | |

| There's two varieties that I've heard of, but I don't think outside of the original farms no one knows for sure. The first is the smaller variety, that are a convict/severum cross. The other that I've seen, called the King Kong variety are supposedly Midas/RD/Severum crosses. I'm sure there's all sorts of other things mixed in there too besides some crazy inbreeding, but those were supposedly the main ingredients. FH can cross with Parrots, I have two small ones (not really fry anymore) that I have no idea who the parents are. One is splotchy but the other has fairly pronounced stripes, and the only adults remotely striped in that tank is a lone flowerhorn. | |

| Hate to be the downer here, but that tank is now where near big enough to house that Iridescent Shark permanently. Biggest one I have seen was close to 3ft long! Personally I don't believe that this species should be sold in LFS, but that is just my opinion. These are some of the original tank busters in the hobby along with Red Tailed Cats and Pacus.
I would either look to rehome him or be looking for a tank upgrade.

Just my .02 Keeper I have to agree with keeper. I had one that was about 26" and still growing. I would up giving it to a store with pond because it made my 450 look small.
