Yes I know they were supposed to be a little smaller. I wanted to put the rtcs with them but now I have to grow them out more in the grow out tank. Once they get big enough its time to start the pond build. :rokon: And then I can get another Some pics of my new monsters 208465 for my 150.

You should ask whoever you got them from at MFK what they were feeding the fish before you got them.

I did. He said he was feeding them shrimp, and chicken. I've tried both and still not. I'll try soaking them in garlic.

Catfish are slow to come around to eating sometimes.

Grunty (RTC/TSN) didn't eat here for the first two weeks. If the cats are sitting and not doing anything, they may actually be content for the time being.

I only feed the cats here when they're active and on patrol. So Grunty gets fed once a week. The kitten (5 inch RTC) gets fed maybe twice a week.

I've never had any luck with the garlic thing. I've had much better luck getting live wiggly food. For cats that big, I'd go get a tub of big earthworms. The gigantic nightcrawlers they sell for bait. Just rinse 'em off first. Smile

Mine here also really really like that crazy catfish dough bait. The one I have is called Catfish Dynamite, but I wouldn't feed that to them regularly. Since it's a bait, they don't put the ingredients on the tub. I don't think it will hurt for a snack or to motivate a reluctant eater though.

Also I would check your water parameters and make sure everything is still in line....You have increased your bio load quite a bit....It might take some time catching up....make sure there is no Ammonia spikes and the Nitrate is not up high...post your results so we can see where you are at.
