I think as far as aggression goes, they should do fine in the 135, as long as you cull any excess males. The only possible concern would be hybridization, since intra-generic hybridization is common in Malawi cichlids. Of course, if you don't plan on selling the offspring, that won't be a problem.

It should be a beautiful tank. I can't wait to see pics.

ya i thought about that whole hybrid thing and the people who dont like hybrids and what not. i kinda came to the conclusion that its kinda flippin snobby to act like that like i mean i dunno.im not looking to sell any fish or anything. if i get crossbreeds well so be it. ill make sure they dont get all over that state or somethin. i dunno. oh ya what would the possible intra generic hyb. be?like the cynos matin with other cynos?

Right, intra-generic would be two fish of the same Genus, but different species.

I don't mind hybrids myself. I mean, if I see a fish that really looks good, and I'm not looking for a breeder, I don't care about its pedigree. However, if I am paying the money for a pure strain, I don't want any surprises. That's like paying $750 for a registered Labrador Retriever, and discovering its really a Labracockerdoodlehuahua. Shocked

Like you said, if you don't release the hybrid fry to the public, then no harm no foul.

Looks good eltrut. For some reason I thought you were putting all of these in a 55g so I had to read it twice. I cant wait to see pics once the tank is all set up.

I personally like hybrids. If it wasn't for them we wouldnt have flower horns.
