Taking fish pics is definitely not the easiest thing to do. There are several people here who could help you out in the photography department.

Looks real good!! The one thing i've learned with taking pictures of fish is the darker the room the better. Also turn the flash off or cover it. I'm not a pro either, sometimes I get lucky and get a good shot. Wink

I tried without the flash and it was worse. I'll play with it a little bit and see if I can get better ones...

I can help you with the tank shot. The best way to get a good pic of your tank is without the flash. Wait til night and turn off all the lights in the room except the tank. Turn the flash off on your camera. If you don't have a tripod...try to make a stand out of something steady and level like a chair or table. You can stack some books under to get the exact height you need. Then just take the pic and you should notice the difference. I sometimes use the timer feature on my camera to keep from wiggling the camera while pressing the button. Hope this helps.

I take my full tank shots with no flash either. A slow shutter and a good platform is needed.

I had the TV on. I need to do another water change on my 20 gallon first. Water is a little cloudy since I moved the new fish in there. I will try closing the curtains and cutting all of the lights off. Thanks for all of the advice!!!

I need to post some new pics soon. The water was kind of cloudy. I just did a water change today and it cleared up a lot. I'm gonna do another one on Saturday or Sunday. I will take some new pics then... This time with the lights off...
