I recently purchased 10 BN plecos from aquabid.....USPS took three days to get them here but everything was good. the seller was OMACICHLIDS....everything was packaged A+++++ no charge for shipping, and fish are very healthy and as advertised. I am 110% happy. If you are looking to buy fish on aquabid and are interested in anything OMACICHLIDS is selling...he is a pleasure to work with.

Wow. The l024 is cool. Why is it called that and not either a flame pleco or red cactus pleco?

Also new winner in the got your nose contest. Smile

L024 indicates the species hasn't been formally described. IIRC the L stands for Loricariid and the number is the number assigned to separate it from other collected but not yet described Loricariids. Some undescribed species have aquired common/trade names. For example the zebra pleco was L046 before being formally described as Peckoltia zebra (now formally Hypancistrus zebra)

    Thanks Wyite.

When I was looking for pics online one of the sites I saw had a gallery listing them a bunch of them as assorted Pseudacanthicus, so I didn't realize they hadn't been formally identified yet.

Makes me wonder how long something like that takes, since Planetcatfish has 'em listed as being discovered in '89.
