Good info, Saint. I remember reading a more recent article in TFH that talked about the use of garlic with discus. I'll have to take a look.

Yup Jack talks about it in an article in the April 2009 issue of TFH. In Jack's experiments though he actually fed the fresh garlic to the fish in their regular diet.

The earlier article said fresh garlic mashed into their food. I took that to mean that he had to sneak the garlic in on the discus like hiding meds for cats in cat treats. Wink

He said it was mixed at 2:1 ratio of food to garlic. So I doubt it was really "hidden". Try mixing up some food for yourself at that ratio and see if you can tell there is garlic in it... Very Happy

Tempting to see if they'd honor it, but I picked up a used book on Axolotls today and it had a mail in card for a "lifetime subscription" (30 years max) to TFH for $300 bucks. Smile

How many Fulu males do you have in that tank? Also how big is the tank? My experience has been only one male like 30 gallons of tank. The males are incredibly hard on eachother. Your sick fish could just be highly stressed. Time alone in a 10 could easily make him better.
