I want to add some shrip to my tanks I also kepp apitogrmmas and some other cichlids. My question is will my cichlids eat them. My tnaks are all heavely planted with live plants and lots of driftwood so the shrimp have lots of places to hide . :#@*!: :usa:

The shrimp will be a delicious little snack for your cichlids Wink

Some will probably be able to hide for a while but they will eventually get picked off.

:agre2:

Strike three, shrimp are out! Smile

I want to supply a steady supply of live food to the dwarf cichlids I get, so I built a small tank that I'm gonna use as a refugium. Still haven't totally worked out the mechanics of connecting it to the other tanks, but I want to have daphnia, copepods, shrimp and maybe gammarus in there, with connections to allow the inverts to travel to the other tanks but not allow the fish to get into the refugium.

But if ya want the shrimp for pets, you'll need a separate tank.
