| Yes, we don't have enough space to allow folks to directly upload pics. Most photo hosting sites are free, though, as far as I know. https://servimg.com/ is the one I use. Lookin' forward to some pictures. WYite | |

| I use imageshack because I like to have my pics for several different sites in one place. However we do have a gallery where you can upload pics. | |

| thanks
I'm trying to figure out what cichlid 's I want. If any. On the idea of either Blue Ram or Cockatoo but not sure yet. Ive never kept them and still looking into it. Any suggestion are appreciated! From my understanding from what I have read the larger Cichlids are more territorial and not sure I want all that with my tigers. So! I know I'm still going to add more tigers and some ( loaches or cory ) .

| Very nice!
Most cichlids are territorial. The smaller ones can seem less territorial but that is also due to them not needing as much territory as a larger cichlid. Just do your research on the fish before you add it and of course always feel free to ask questions on here.

| Nice looking set up!
With a 65 gallon tank and tiger barbs, ya can go with a little larger cichlid than a ram or cockatoo (or other Apistogramma) as well, if you'd like. Kribensis would mix well with tiger barbs, as would rainbow cichlids (Herotilapia multispinosa), keyhole cichlids (Cleithracara maroni) and cupid cichlids (Biotodoma cupido).
Personally, I think rams and apistogrammas get "lost" in anything larger than a 29 or 30 gallon tank. That is totally my opinion and by no means am I tryin' to dissuade you from rams or cockatoos. They would be perfectly fine. Just pointin' out there are some other options available to you with your set-up, that ya might not have been aware of.
Keep us posted!
Cheers,

| I have to look into the photo thing. We used to be able to store pics via a few buttons. I'm not sure what changed or happened.. | |

| Thanks Wyomingtite, but looks as if the LFS sold me some tigers that have ICH! frown! so now i have to deal with that... I have a planted tank and no other tank to put them in to treat. Not sure how I am going to go about it. IM thinking i might try putting all my plants in a bucked and putting a light over it with a small heater and then treat my tigers in the tank. Any suggestions would be great.. I dont want to kill my plants and i have read that the med.s will so! | |

| You should try the heat/salt method for treating ich and it won't hurt your plants. You can (slowly) move the heat up to 85deg and (slowly) add 2 teaspoons of salt per gallon. Treat for at least 2 weeks and/or 1 week after the last visible sign of ich whichever is longer. I can't emphasize enough that you should raise temp and salt levels slowly as not to stress your fish too much. Also you should dissolve the salt in tank water before adding to the tank. | |

| Depending on the plants, I didn't see if you mentioned what they were, you can keep them in a bucket/tub with just an air pump on an airstone and they'll be fine.
Target brand large scoopable cat litter tubs (they're a tall squarish sturdy plastic bucket) work really well for plants. I use them for some pond plants that I overwinter indoors.

| just a up date... been treating with rid ich and lost one fish. he was the worsted as far as being covered in white spots and always at the top gasping! figured he would not make it.... the rest of the fish seem fine and there are less ich spots on the fish them selves, there still chasing each other like crazy and i have one really big strong , colorful looking one that really loves to show he's in charge lol So I will just keep up with the treatment and keep my fingers crossed! | |

| Good luck! Hope you can keep the losses at a minimum.
I have been lucky enough to only have had to treat my tanks for ich once. The salt and heat worked great and I had no deaths as a result. The one benefit I did have was I caught it early. If caught too late sometimes there's nothing that will save them.

| Sounds like it's going good. Like you mentioned, just be sure to run out the treatment as suggested in the directions. Too many people see the improvements and stop treatment early. Which doesn't help anything. You are doing it the right way. I just wanted to throw that out there in case others read this post. | |
