It's snowing here, it's a nice -12C (11F) where I am at due to a warm Chinook - definitely nice compared to the -40C/F we had a week ago! Go figure, it warms up and then dumps 8 inches of snow on us, with more on the way... Darn, that wet snow is heavy... How cold is everyone else? How cold do you usually get? PS: did you know at -55C (-67F) your vehicle tires freeze to the road in seconds at a stop light?

| It was actually pretty warm here today compared to last Friday. It is about 23F right now and got up to 34F today. Last Friday it was down to -6F... We got in total about 7 or 8 inches of snow yesterday. | |

I missed you thought something had happend. lol WOW what happened to your tanks? Well, I moved..updated my life and had to give away all my tanks in the process. Yeah, in a matter of a week I found homes for my dog, 2 cats and all 8 tanks worth of fish, at 11:30pm the night before I moved I was able to drain the 150 and was catching my pacu to go to his new home!!! In all I gave away 2-55g tanks, a 75g, 2-10g, a 14g and a 29g I kept one 55 and brought it with. Since I have started a new tank, just a 55 and went with a lake Malawi set up. At this point all I have are 5 yellow labs, and a Alhi. Tried to order a few more but well the person never got the money order I guess so I never got the fish and I haven't had the time lately to try again. I will soon though.

| Hi all, Greg here, sometimes known as murraycod. I hope you've settled in ok Lady G. You've had a busy few months to say the least. 2009 will be extra special for you and the kids, I'm sure. 100F here most days and, as I now say, so dry even the dust sighs. I'm mucking around with fish in my ponds. Murray cod to eat and goldies and pacific blue eyes for the cod to eat and for me to sell. I know nothing about all the football chat...sorry. Good to see young mrunv about. How's Buffalo? | |

| Thanks Paul!!! As far as the Mbuna, I am looking for...Iodotropehues sperengae, Cynotilapia afra , Pseudotropheus socolofi albino, and Pseudotrophues acei. As for Haps, I was actually looking more at Peacocks I just ended up getting the Alhi by mistake. I may switch it to Haps instead though, I have been going back and forth but I was reallying liking the OB, Lemon Jacob, and the German Red Peacocks. Hey there Greg, great to see ya here!! Yeah, I've settled pretty good here..still have loads of stuff going on but it is working out | |

Hey there Greg, great to see ya here!! Yeah, I've settled pretty good here..still have loads of stuff going on but it is working out Nice selection. IME, haps do better than peacocks when mixing them with mbuna. I quit trying with peacocks, but have kept venustus (Nimbochromis venustus), Malawi eye-biters or compressiceps (Dimidiochromis compressiceps), electra or deepwater haps (Placidochromis electra) and red empress cichlids (Protomelas taeniolatus) successfully with mbuna. The problem I experienced with peacocks was they never seemed to be as aggressive during feeding time. Then they'd start getting bullied when they'd get weak from not eating well. Curious if anyone else ever had this experience. WYite

| I'm doing more work on the tanks...cleaning out the new 20gal and possibly painting the back glass of my 20 to see how it comes out. If it turns out nice I will probably be doing my other 4 tanks too. Tomorrow is a kid birthday party for my niece. | |

| Ok Heres my suggestions for you: 1. Silver Aro/ Black Aro 2. Severums, uarus,or geos 3.TSN,Lima Shovelnose, watercows 4. Redhook Silverdollars, bala sharks, or tinfoil barbs 5. A fire eel or tyretrack There you would have a nice monster tank. Or there's this one: 1 Discus 2 Geos, keyholes, and sevs 3. Dithers 4. Angelfish 5. And cories, and peacock eel All these would make a nice monster 150! | |

| I have no idea what I'm putting in it, except that I know everyone in my 30g will and that tank is going chiclid. soo....and BSF an aro would work? I would freakin loooove one of those! I was thinking if the foot print is big enough I would get a small ray. see I like the idea of a larger/ centerpiece fish but I don't want the tank all big fish. ideas are always welcome! | |
