| well i have officially started to stock my 1500 gallon pond with what it was meant for. Yesterday i went fishing and caught 1 11in bass and 1 3 in bluegill. Before that i "cycled" it with some feeder goldies and they are about 3-6in right now but wont last long will try and post some pics of the pond by the end of the week and hopefully a pic of the bass if i can see him | |

| im looking at some plants for the pond and was wondering what the best plant would be right now there are about 4 bluegill, 1 bass and 2 catfish in a 4'x7' pond. was looking at some water lilies but havent decided the pond is also 4 feet deep | |

| I'm not really sure what bluegill or bass would do to plants. So it may be a matter of trial and error.
In with some koi outside (and surviving) is Water Lettuce, Anacharis, Parrot Feather, Taro, some sort of Lilly someone gave me and Mint.
They do munch on the Water Lettuce and Anacharis but it grows back quick enough that it's not that big a deal. Water Hyacinth gets destroyed, as did something called "Blood Dock" (freebie leafy plant, have no idea what exactly it was) and I give them duck weed now and again for a snack.
I have a Peace Lilly in with the one snapper turtle, and that does well outside in the water too. | |

| I'll second what saint suggested about water lettuce and anacharis...if they do get nibbled on, they grow quick enough to handle it. They will also help your water quality, great on uptaking nitrates! | |

| Make and model of the filter? I don't know too many pond filters that aren't entirely dependent on the pump alone, so even if your filter died, with a pump we can get ya set up with something. | |
