im moving out three of my bigger plecs. a sailfin, chocolate, and common. all are getting new homes, too big for me. so im tryin to decide if i should put my vampire in with my convicts. thats where the three big ones are right now and they are all fine. so i think the vampire should be ok, pls there is agood current in that tank it will like. but i would have to move my 239 blue panaque out of the cons tank i want to put him in with my discus, along with my clown. help?

As long as the Vampire is big enough compared to the Cons, I think it would be alright. I am no pro on the Vanpire plecos diet and water requirements though. What are the other tank mates and what size tank, what type of filtration are you runnin? Depending on the size of the discus use caution adding the L239 pleco as they are much smaller than the discus likely.

According to planetcatfish.com the Vanpire is going to like softer water and lower temps. If your water is fairly neutral 7.0 you should be ok with the mix although it also says they get to 9in. so make sure the tank is of suitable size.

did more looking. the vampire goes in with the discus, and the 239 stays in with the cons

That would probabally be better although the cons might be more aggressive. I have never had luck long term with Cichlids and smaller plecos living together.
