| Socolofi are usually not that mean IME they are some of the less aggressive species. Zebras can be that mean but socolofi usually are not. On a side note saint three in a smaller tank is not a good number.....The more you have the better the aggression is spread out. | |

| Nice pics, LG! You really got a good shot of them in the first pic. Now you just need to do a profile of them for the contest... ...The acei's I saw had yellow on the dorsal and caudal fins. I don't know a lot about the african cichlids but I'm thinking it must have been a color variation. | |

Think were sayin' 'bout the same thing, from different perspectives. I agree wholeheartedly that a socolofi rampaging and killing two tankmates in a night, even in a small tank, strikes me as unusual. That's why my gut is tellin me... WYite

| Yes, Dawg..there are yellow tail and white tail, the yellow are Acei (Msuli) and the white (which I have) are Acei (ngara). There may be a few others but those are the ones I had looked at. I believe the white tail will stay a darker blue (some almost black) and the yellow tails will be a more bright blue. I went with the white tail because I also plan to get some afra (which are blue with yellow) and I wanted more of a variety of color. Hmmm, a profile huh....we'll see (I'm really not a good writer) | |

| Hey...you have nothing to lose by writing a profile, LG...but you could get a 1yr subscription to a fish mag.
Thanks for the info on the acei.

| Just wanted to update. I was worried about the Alhi bothering my little ones...well all is going well so far. I have been watching and keeping an eye on them for any fin damage or anything else that may show they have been picked on, and so far they are all swimming and happy!!! | |

| Yes, there a quite a few hidding spots in there...I did end up moving some rock aroud too, so there were spots that were smaller for them, and yes I LOVE my little ones they are sooooo cute.
Can you believe as small as they are they were going after and getting the ghost shrimp I put in there it was funny, this little bitty fish swimming around with a shrimp hanging out of it's mouth!!!!

| Well, thank you guys!!!
Wow, the guy sent me a message and wanted to know if I wanted to make it an even 45 (was suppose to be 42) and he would make it 12 instead of 6!! I thought that was pretty nice, but I told him I really didn't need 12 of them since I only plan to really keep 4-5 of em. OMG, I wish I would get my debit card NOW so I don't have to go through the whole waiting thing with the mail...GRRRRR!! Awww, isn't it nice I just opened my first checking account all my own!!!

| No, Mike...actually I have to get a new camera. My girls decided to make a "wrestling" video, needless to say the camera was a little to close and ended up broken. | |
