Breeding HRP Project Empty
PostSubject: Breeding HRP Project   Breeding HRP Project EmptyFri Oct 24, 2008 7:04 am

Well I have a couple pairs of Houndouran Red Points, one pair that have been trying to breed. They are in a overstocked 120g with lots of other cichlids and other tropicals. I think I am going to finally set up the empty 29g and get them moved over this weekend.

If anyone is interested I may save a batch of fry to sell. I am breeding mostly for food for my larger fish but also for the experience of breeding them and the enjoyment! Just though I would pass it on to everyone! :fsh:

Ok I am going to get things going tomorrow. The tank (29g) will be moved in to the house tomorrow. It is out in the garage and all the equipment is soaking to make sure of no foreign materials hanging around. Here is a pic of it empty in the garage...don't mind the gravel it's ugly!

Will add to the thread with updates as I go from the setup to the spawn to the fry etc....stay tuned!

Ok my room re arranged this morning. Got the tank set up filled, filter etc. Got the pair in...they seem to be very happy and are swimming together and have begun digging already!

Here are a couple of pics.
